It has been six months since I blogged.
Six months ago I was seven months pregnant.
Six months ago I was preparing for my baby girl.
Six months ago my Dad was alive.
Six months ago I was a successful Supervisor at my job, which was my career, which provided a comfortable life for my family.
Six months ago I was oblivious to the changes that would come.
I've experienced major change. My life has by no means been a cake walk (whatever that means). But the changes I've experienced in the last six months most may not experience in a 20 year span.
I moved.
I gave birth. A beautiful birth to Charlotte Grace.
I began caring full time for my three nephews. Family of three to family of 7, sometimes 8 if you count my Mom who's with us a lot, and she's such a help to us.
I lost my earthly Father. The grief is a sneaky thing. I feel ok, and then all of a sudden I'm not.
I quit my job. Left my career.
I started graduate school (again). My Masters of Education is somewhere on the horizon, God willing.
The funny thing is:
I'm happy.
Trusting God more than I ever have.
I have the MOST beautiful baby girl.
The BEST boys.
The SWEETEST, BRATTIEST almost-three-year old.
I have an amazing Mom.
Is it overwhelming? Yes. Is it hard? Yes. Is it worth.every.minute? Yes.
& I need to get caught up on the things I used to enjoy.
Like writing, crafting, and spending time with friends. Being more involved in church. Planning family vacations and trips.
But for now, I'm the busiest Mom on the block. Loving every minute, even the not-so-pretty minutes (which there are plenty, let me tell you).
God is good, always good.
Be prepared for more updates on my brood, my baby, and life as we (now) know it.
